CERTIFICATION

What is certification?
Certification is a plan whereby members of NACFS earn and receive recognition for having achieved a specified level of professional development. They become Church Food Service Directors or Administrators.

Why should I certify?
Certification shows your peers, your supervisors, and your members your commitment to your career and your ability to perform to the highest standards. Certification enhances the image of Church Food Service persons. Certification reflects personal achievement, and establishes professional credentials. It shows you care.

How does one become certified?
Certification is 2-level system. Members receive certification points for various projects and education experiences. For more information, contact the Certification Officer listed in the officer's directory.

Is there a deadline to certify?
The deadline for certifications to be recognized at Conference is May 31. Applications received after May 31 will be considered for the summer of the following year.
